The output of yarn of textile enterprises above designated size decreased by 1.2% year-on-year, and the output of cloth, clothing and chemical fiber increased by 2.3%, 4.5% and 11.8% respectively.

From January to July, the total retail sales of consumer goods by units above designated size nationwide reached 10,532.1 billion yuan, up 2.7% year-on-year, of which the retail sales of clothing, shoes and hats, and textile products by units above designated size increased by 0.5% year-on-year, and the retail sales of physical goods online for wearing goods increased by 6.3% year-on-year.

Overall foreign trade remained stable, with exports falling slightly in the month. From January to July, China's textile and apparel exports totaled US $169.84 billion, an increase of 1.1% year-on-year. In July, textile and apparel exports to the world were 26.8 billion US dollars, down 0.5% year on year.
